Who wants to go shopping? This girl! As long as she gets to eat chicky nuggets and push the cart! Apparently, she also made a new friend while she was out shopping with Daddy. She has taken to the phrase, "No way!" (Gee, I wonder where she has heard that?!?), which makes correcting her behavior SUPER fun. Also, ice packs will now cure pretty much any bump, bruise or tumble in under 5 seconds. "I need an ice pack!"
This weekend, we headed to Papa and Grandma Szafarczyk's for the Fourth of July. Daddy, Papa, and Uncle Jimmy were very busy painting Papa and Grandma's house, so the girls had to stay out of their way. Livi was excited to see how big her flowers were getting and also to go swimming in her pool.
Grandma and Livi helped keep everyone energized by baking some very delicious cookies. She did a great job mixing the dough and placing the Hershey kisses on the cookies. I tried several just to be sure they tasted okay.
And look who's too cute in her red, white, and blue. Livi and Papa held their own parade in the driveway and had many adoring fans. She however was NOT a fan of fireworks. The noise really bothered her, which in turn really bothered me when people continued to set them off after the fourth of July and wake her up. (Yep, officially a mom!)
We wrapped up our weekend with a trip to the beach. After all their hard work, Daddy and Papa definitely needed a little time to unwind at the beach. I'm not sure it was very relaxing with Miss Livi, but it sure was fun! Livi had fun helping Papa find rocks for his train table and of course swimming in the water.
