10 Months, Week 1

Happy 10 Month Birthday to Olivia Marie!  Every month when I go to put on the monthly sticker and take her picture, I am amazed that yet another month has gone by.  I just can't believe how fast time is going by.

Also celebrating a birthday this week was Daddy Josh! The parrothead, future parrothead, and I went to one of daddy's favorite places, Cheeseburger in Paradise for dinner.  Olivia enjoyed all of the scenery and helping Josh blow out his candle.  This was after she enjoyed a "Ferris Bueller day."  That morning when she woke up, she was crying inconsolably and clinging to me as I tried to get her changed and ready for daycare.  I certainly didn't want to send her to daycare if she was sick, so I stayed home with her and called the pediatrician's office.  The doctor checked her ears, throat, lungs, etc. and determined she just had a cold.  Funny after we left the doctor she was happy as could be and no longer acted "sick."    Not the worse day to be home from work and daycare - sunny and in the 60s!  Well played, Olivia, well played.

Since the weather has been so nice, we took Olivia to the park at the end of our street for the first time.  Not surprisingly, she loved it!  She was particularly partial to the swings.  You can see in the video how much fun she had.  It's a good thing the park is close because I bet we will be going there a lot!

Those baby blues and long eyelashes just keep get prettier by the month. And now she's using them to read to herself!

9 Months, Week 4

Yay for a new (and so far very mild) month!  We are only about three weeks away from our first major family vacation, Spring Break in Florida.  Not too much weight gain this week, still sitting pretty at 17 pounds, 12.5.  Maybe someone is nervous about fitting in her bikini.

As we get ready to hit the (hopefully) sunny beaches of Florida, Olivia and Josh have been working on their swimming skills at Aqua Babes. They finished up their last class of this session last week. Olivia is really starting to love the water! We think the ear tubes have really started to help. She actually likes going under water now!

On Saturday, we took Olivia to "Divas, Dudes, and Doodlebugs".  It's a music and movement class for babies and young children.  She loved it!  I think her favorite part was "playing" the musical instruments.

She also loves "singing" at church.  Although, sometimes she just wants to play with Josh's phone (don't be mad, Father Michael!).

We also had a visit from Grammy and Grampy Banks and Uncle Jordan to celebrate all the Banks boys' birthdays on Sunday.  No pizza or pasta for Olivia yet, but she still had lots of fun.

And check out our big girl waving!  She gets so excited when she sees how happy others are when they are treated to an Olivia wave.

Lastly, has this ever happened to any one else?  We went into Target for a loaf of bread.  As you can see by the diapers, wipes, bubbles, soda, etc. (believe it or not, there actually is a loaf of bread in there!) we ended up with a few "extras".  Sigh...I'm now on self-induced "Target-Probation".  At least when Josh goes by himself, he sticks to the list!
